Springfield’s music scene can, at times, appear to be a sort of alphabet soup; there is an endless supply of individual parts out there, and when combined the results can be either spectacular or totally incoherent. The latest melange: The Gardenheads, a combination of Stan Fick (formerly of New Madrid, presently of The Beltniks) on guitar and vocals, Chris Bivens (Holstein, The Marvelous Vernon) on drums, Matthew Robertson (The Beltniks) on guitar and Jodie Bivens on bass.
